The Jazzmaster HYBRID pickup set, bridge and neck positions, handcrafted by Q Pickups. These are Jazzmaster-sized pickups, not P90 or humbucker-sized – designed as a hybrid of Jazzmaster, P90, and humbucker pickups. Instead of traditional Alnico magnet rods like classic Jazzmaster pickups, they feature humbucker nickel-plated steel slugs powered by two AlNiCo 2 bar magnets. This type of design yields a tone that is fatter and warmer, somewhat reminiscent of a P90 but with more fullness and clarity due to the steel slugs instead of conventional screws.
