The Jazzmaster HYBRID pickup, designed for the bridge position, handcrafted by Q Pickups. This pickup is Jazzmaster pickup size, not P90 or humbucker size. It is kind of a hybrid of Jazzmaster, P90, and humbucker. Rather than traditional Alnico magnet rods used on classic JM pickups, it features nickel-plated steel slugs powered by two AlNiCo2 bar magnets. This design yields a tone that is both fatter and warmer, reminiscent of a P90 but with greater fullness and clarity, thanks to the steel slugs. The hot bridge measures at 9.4 kOhm, delivering some extra bite.
