Bike Brake Pads for Hayes G2 HFX Mag, Plus, XC, HD, 9 Carbon, 9XC, 9HD, MX1, HFX-9 hydr, mech, Promax hydraulic, 98-16314 About Us You are purchasing from a US company located in Los Angeles, California. Hardheaded Ram was created by an avid cyclist who realized that people spend thousands of dollars on a bike, and then end up skimping on the most important part of their bike by installing cheap unbranded brake pads. We’re here to solve that by providing quality brake pads for all types of bikes and riding styles. After months of research and testing, we have partnered with a respectable company in Taiwan that specializes in manufacturing brake pads, including for many brand name products. The rotors we carry are also manufactured in the same factory as the brake pads, so you can expect both our brake pads and rotors to work well with each other. All of our products will fit perfectly with brake systems of all brands, including: Avid, Campagnolo, Formula, Hayes, Hope, Magura, Shimano, Sram, Tektro, and more. Our pads include copper fiber—instead of cheaper steel fiber—for better wear resistance and thermal conductivity. We use kevlar fiber to make our pads quieter by absorbing the vibration that causes loud braking noise. Specialized in Disc Brakes We are the bike brake pads specialist for MTB, mountain, gravel, road, race, and any bicycles with disc brakes. Resin Pads Our organic/resin/semi-metallic brake pads are made of premium materials that are easier to control and quieter than metallic pads. Sintered Pads Our sintered/metallic brake pads are sturdy and durable, good for wet or muddy conditions, and perform great at high temperatures. We also carry racing, downhill, and ceramic for E-bikes. Packaging The easy-to-install brakes feature great stopping power in a fraction of time without squeaking, squealing or making noise. If noise persists, change the rotor with Hardheaded Ram brand. See more products in our Shop page. Do not hesitate to contact us through our contact form. Our ceramic and ceramic Kevlar compounds outlast standard OEM pads significantly — especially under sustained heat and load from e-bikes and aggressive trail riding. QDo I need to bed these in? Yes — all new brake pads require bedding in. We recommend 10–15 moderate stops from 15–20 mph before pushing hard. QAre these rated for E-bikes? Our ceramic and ceramic Kevlar compounds are E-bike rated and tested for the higher heat load, weight, and speed e-bikes put on braking systems. QNot sure which pad fits — can you help? Yes — send us a message with your brake model and we’ll confirm fit before you order. We respond fast. This is all we do.
