Description Quantum TMR 100mm TMR Slider Linear Position Sensor (LW-020-02) The Quantum TMR 100mm TMR Slider Linear Position Sensor is a rugged, non-contact linear position sensor specifically designed to measure the movement of a 100mm slider. Boasting advanced accuracies of ±0.5% of reading, the sensor delivers a configurable 0-5V analog and CAN output with integrated CPU’s eliminating the need for additional external processing. Both the electronic sensing element and magnet target are encased within the rugged hard anodised aluminium slider custom housing, with the magnet target located in the slider thumb, to provide an ingress protection rating of IP68. The Tunnelling MagnetoResistive technology employed within this linear position measurement instrument is solid-state making it an ideal alternative to potentiometers that may require regular maintenance and can degrade through excess mechanical wear. Featuring 12 bit resolution and a rapid update rate of 5kHz, the slider linear position sensor allows devices to deliver accurate position feedback in excess of 5,000 times per second, and is thermally stable across a wide operating temperature range of -40°C to 125°C. The Slider Linear Position Sensor is factory calibrated for simple plug and play installation and is configurable across the entire 0-100mm sensing range. This device is supplied with flying lead for direct integration into this specific application, however a wide variety of connectors are available. All devices in this range are compatible with MIL-STD-461G and RTCA DO160F EMC standards.
